Party – Buli for you!

We shall be holding our end-of-year party this year on Tuesday, 12 December, for teachers, students and friends of Hungarian language, literature and culture in London.
The party will be at the newly-refurbished Victorian pub, the Marquis of Cornwallis (formerly ‘The Goose’) on Marchmont Street, WC1N 1AP (nearest tube: Russell Square), from 8 pm onwards.

Guest lecturer at University of Szeged

From 29 November, Peter Sherwood will be lecturing at the Hungarian and Central European International Studies Centre, at the University of Szeged, for 10 days. Following a lecture in April, Peter was invited to speak to the staff and students of the Hungarology department, to present his grammar and teaching methodology in greater detail.

Ob-Ugric

From 21 November onwards, we shall be studying Ob-Ugric languages and literature with Peter Sherwood. If you wish to attend, please get in touch at hungarian DOT studies AT googlemail DOT com. A knowledge of Hungarian is an advantage but is not a prerequisite for attendance.
